The APC won all the seats in the just concluded local government election in Kebbi state
The chairman of the state’s electoral body, Aliyu Mera, said the election was peaceful
Mera, however, noted that the elections in two polling units were inconclusive
The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kebbi state won big on Saturday, October 26, as all its chairmanship candidates in the local government election were declared winners by the state’s electoral body.
Alhaji Aliyu Mera, the chairman of the Kebbi State Independent National Electoral Commission (KESIEC), made the announcement on Thursday, October 31, the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports. He noted that the results had earlier been announced by the various wards and local government returning officers.
Mera said the APC won in all the 21 local government areas, adding that the Peoples Democratic Party and other political parties that participated in the election did not have an impressive outing.
PDP candidate defeats APC in Kogi state The KESIEC boss, however, noted that the elections in two polling units were inconclusive, adding that the rerun elections will be conducted in the affected units on Saturday, November 2.
Mera said the election was peaceful and the results were transparently announced in the presence of party agents and security personnel.
